-----Roll a Story - Creative Writing Prompts-----
Such a fun creative writing activity for your students!
I've noticed that students are much more excited to write stories when part of the writing process has a "roulette" feeling or element of surprise to it.
This can be used as a center or as take-home work.
If you want to use it as a center, just laminate the dice-roll pages and keep a stack of the story writing pages in the same folder.
This item is differentiated into 3 levels:
-Low = Draw their story out and retell it once finished
-Middle = Write their story and then draw a picture for each stage in order to encourage re-reading their work and to help guide their retell once finished.
-High = Write their story and focus on the use of adjectives to make their story exciting to retell.
Each level has different prompts + a different layout for each writing page, and includes time words / sequencing words for each phase of students' stories.
