Every child loves to roll a dice....now make it part of a math center or morning warmup! These are great for learning number recognition 0-10, counting, identifying how many, more/fewer, or simply reviewing. Children can roll, count the dots (precursor to subitizing), and find the number that corresponds with their roll; the children will enjoy coloring the fall themed pictures to record what they rolled and counted. You can provide dice with numbers instead of dots for those not yet ready for counting independently. Each of the four themes (pumpkins, fall, apples, etc) has two differentiated worksheets to meet the achievement levels of various learners. Children can complete this work in a cooperative learning group, during a small group mini-lesson, or independently. This is a fun way to engage all learners in counting, number identification, matching, and learning to complete their work from start to finish. I hope you enjoy! Roll on my friends!
