Have students exchange pennies for dimes, then dimes for dollars in preparation of base ten trading.
Students will roll dice, collect pennies, then trade for a dime when they collect ten or more pennies. When they collect ten dimes, students can trade them for a dollar. Can be played as individuals or partners. Two game boards are provided, one with a place for each coin. The other has ten places shaded so students do not have to recount or lose count to trade.
Pictures of coins and dollars are provided or plastic or real coins can be used.
