Roll, Read, Color Word Game

This game is exactly what you need to provide your students with extra practice reading this set of 140 Level 1 sight words. These words are also part of lists such as DOLCH WORDS and THE FRY LISTS.

*** Designed for 2+ players, this game is an easy and fun way to get extra practice in. The gameboards come in color or black/white for your printing preference. Each gameboard includes word practice on 10 lessons of words at 1 time, in varying order.

***In turn, each player rolls 1 die, matches it to the die picture on the board and chooses the word closest to the bottom of the column to read aloud. If a 6 is rolled, the player chooses which column they wish to read from.

***If correctly read, the player colors in the rectangle of the words. If not read correctly, the rectangle remains uncolored to be read on another turn.

***Play continues until 1 player has completed the coloring of one column.

***Variations include requiring 2 or 3 columns to be completed to win.

***Use pointing prompts for student with significant speech/language disabilities or use a document camera and white board to play with a larger group.
