This is a great game to practice a variety of skills. I use it in my classroom to practice sight words. It can also be used to practice spelling words, phonemes, addition facts...whatever you can think of!
The teacher programs a master copy at the bottom with the target skill. For example, I would write six different sight words across the bottom, and then each player gets their won copy to work with.
To play, roll a die and then say and write the word in the corresponding column. The game is over when any word column is filled to the top.
The game then then be used to practice graphing skills!
~Which word did we write the most/least?
~How many more times did we write _____ than _____?
The game can be used whole group or in centers.
