This mini unit is four days long and perfect for the week of Memorial Day or Labor Day!
In this mini unit 1st grade students can focus on using adjectives in their sentences while still concentrating on using correct conventions. Students roll dice to practice subitizing and see which details they will add to their monsters. Then, they create a thinking map using number and color words. They turn this bubble map into a writing with complete sentences before they use context clues to figure out whose monster is whose from the details in each writing. I hope you and your students love it!
One happy buyer said, "Super cute resource! I can't wait to use this to engage my students and teach them about adjectives for Halloween! Thanks!"
