Roll a Phoneme
Game 1: Children take turns to roll a die and cover the corresponding phoneme with a counter, or colour the square with their own colour. The winner is the first to get three or four counters in a row.
Game 2: Each child has a board. They roll the die and read and circle the corresponding phoneme or colour its square. Continue until all the squares are coloured / circled.
Game 3: Each child has their own tracing
board. They roll the die and trace one of
the corresponding letters.
There are 3 styles of board (black and white, colour and letter tracers) included for each of 8 sets of phonemes covering Phase 2 of the UK Letters and Sounds phonics programme.
