Speech therapy for R needs to be engaging because, let’s face it, those kids tend to be around for a while. This packet of worksheets brings a fun, novel component to your vocalic R therapy!
These pirate themed sheets can be used year-round or for “Talk Like a Pirate Day” (September). Print a blank pirate sheet for each student. Name cards can be printed on heavier stock and stored on a binder ring.
Students roll the die three times to generate a silly pirate (and parrot!) name. They can even create one for themselves!
Includes a sheet for each the initial, medial and final position of: AR, EAR, AIR, ER and OR. Sheet for prevocalic R and sheet for IRE (mixed).
***Note: There are times that the “last names” have unconventional spelling. This is done deliberately! While I would use “no heart” in a sentence, here “Noheart” is a proper noun and pirate worthy last name.***
