Product Description
Thank you for purchasing this product! I just know your kiddos will LOVE it!

This package contains cube templates with various words and phrases on them. There are 2 versions in the set. The “easier” set contains 3 word/phrase cubes, including articles (e.g., A, The, This), nouns (e.g., duck, fish, cat), and verbs (e.g., runs, swims, hops). The “harder” set contains 5 word/phrase cubes, including the former 3 types mentioned, as well as adjectives (e.g., hot, pink, wet) and prepositional phrases (e.g., on my bed, up a hill). All words are either Kindergarten-level sight words (my, this, by, little) OR short vowel decodable words (swims, duck, rock, jogs). You can DIFFERENTIATE cube sets based on your students’ individual NEEDS and ABILITIES! Yeah!

Directions:
1. Print out as many recording sheets as you desire!
(I give 1 per student playing the game.)
2. Print out the cube set version of your choosing on cardstock.
(I prefer to use different colors of cardstock for each cube to further differentiate them and make it easier for children to put them in order.)
3. Cut out cube patterns along the outside lines.
4. Fold tabs and tape along cube edges to secure.
5. When you’re finished, you will have 3 (if you chose the easier version) or 5 (if you chose the harder version) cubes ready for play!

To play, a student takes all cubes in the chosen difficulty set, rolls them, and puts them in sequential order. (They are numbered to help children assemble quickly and accurately.) Once the cubes are ordered, the roller reads the sentence aloud. Once read, s/he writes it on the recording sheet.

For the easier set, a sentence might read: “The hen swims.”
For the harder set, a sentence might read: “That mad pig swims with my mom.”

Get ready for some silly fun! My kids love this during center time. I love it, too, because they’re practicing reading fluency without even knowing it! ☺
