Twelve game mats provide a variety of situations for which students can use the distributive property with positive and negative integers and rational numbers.
2 levels of play: six game mats with simple integers, and six with rational numbers and two dice per box. For the rational numbers version, you can either have students add the dice (ie. 4+6 = 10) or combine them (ie. 46) for larger calculations.
Instructions for play: Students roll the dice, place on the mat and simplify using the distributive property.
Game can be used as a whole group activity, a Scoot activity, small group or intervention practice, spiral review, or math centers.
Calculations worksheet included.
