This multiplication activity is a fun and engaging way to learn and practice math facts as well as help in the conceptual development of multiplication skills.
Students will roll a die and record the number as their first “factor.” Then they will roll a second time and record the number as the second “factor.” They will use these two factors to fill out the row in the chart. They will have to show the multiplication fact, “groups of,” an array, repeated addition, and the product. There is an example done for student reference.
Another option is copying on colored card stock and laminating/plastic sheet protectors for dry-erase repeated practice/math centers. I like to give dice with higher numbers to any students who will need a challenge, while dice with lower numbers to those who would benefit from more basic facts.
-2 Dice Game Sheets (a front and back)
-2 Dice Game Sheets with EXTRA SPACE (a front and back)
-4 Continued Practice Sheets (no dice required)
I have also included sheets with larger spaces to accommodate students who might benefit from more room to work. These are particular great to create “wipe off” sheets with.
This are great for math centers, small group, whole group, independent work, fast finishers, and so much more!
I hope you enjoy this in your classroom!
