This free sample contains 2 free "Roll and Read" worksheets.
After downloading this PDF, you can print the worksheets as a class set, or print off enough for a group to use, laminate, and color with dry-erase markers.
Materials not provided: dice, crayons, dry-erase markers and laminate (optional)
Students in a group will take turns. They will roll a die and find the corresponding number at the top of the page. They will then recite the first open number or the sight word (based on which game they are playing of the two) in that column. If they are correct, they get to color in the box in that column. The first student to color in all of the boxes on the sheet wins the game. Additional directions are provided in the PDF as well!
If you enjoy this sample, please consider purchasing the full version with over 20 Roll and Read worksheets for the year (also for differentiated instruction for those who need something trickier!) from my shop, "Little Hands and Big Ideas." Even if you teach 2nd grade, you may have some kids who are struggling with K-1 concepts who would benefit from this game.
