Fun game for partners! There are two versions for each vowel (12 sentences per vowel; a total of 60 sentences!) so students can take turns rolling and reading.
Here's how the game works: Student 1 begins on version "A" and Student 2 begins on version "B." Once they've both read all of their sentences, or when time's up, they switch versions. Now, Student 1 is on version "B" and Student 2 is on version "A."
Sentences are made up of CVC words, Dolch words, and other high frequency words.
This activity is very fast paced and keeps the students engaged. It was created to build fluency and accuracy. I used this activity in small group instruction, but it could be a fun literacy center activity also!
