-While playing a reinforcer game, give a Roll and Say mat to each student. When the student rolls the dice for his/her turn, he/she must say a word from the column that corresponds to the number on the dice. The student may then move his/her player on the board the number of spaces on the dice. For a bonus turn, the player may move an extra space if he/she uses all the words from a column (e.g. rolls a 1 five times).
-Laminate or place each student’s mat in a sheet protector. During each turn, a student rolls the dice and practices a word from the column that corresponds to the number on the dice. After the student practices, he/she marks the word with a dry erase marker. The first student to fill up a column (or the number of columns designated by the therapist) is the winner.
-For an independent work station, set a timer for the length of the station (e.g. 5 minutes). After the student rolls the dice and practices a word from the column that corresponds to the number on the dice, have the student graph which number he rolled on the dice. Continue until the timer ends. At the end of the period, compare which number was rolled the most.
