Roll 'em, Write 'em, Multiply 'em! Multiply Fractions & Mixed Numbers
This is a fun, interactive way to get students to practice multiplying fractions and mixed numbers!
Students are much more enthusiastic about multiplying when they have their own unique problems that they created.
You can have students partner up and take turns, or you can have students practice independently at their desks or as part of a Math center.
Directions on the front for students to multiply fractions:
Roll a number cube to write in each missing value.
Then, multiply the fractions you created.
Record your product, and then simplify it.
Directions on the back for students to multiply mixed numbers:
Roll a number cube to write in each missing value. Next, rewrite the expression using two fractions. Remember, mixed numbers need to be rewritten as improper fractions. Then, multiply the fractions you created. Finally, record your product, and simplify it.
