Rolling On/Rolling Back was a cute activity I made to help my kiddos practice counting on and then counting back (both by 1 and by 10). It was a great beginning of the year activity to just practice number order and number sense. But then is adapted to use later in the year as well. It's an excellent math center activity or seatwork. Just a nice different activity to add to you practice. The kiddos roll two dice and then simply make the 2 digit number from the dice, then either count on or count backwards. You can also do the activity with 3 dice (or just roll three times), to allow number practice into the 100's.
I have included each of the below for both 2 digit and 3 digit:
- "Rolling On": Counting on by 1 (front/back)
- "Roll On 10's: Counting on by 10 (front/back)
- "Rolling Back": Counting backwards by 1 (front/back)
- "Roll Back 10's: Counting Backwards by 10's (front/back)
So that's 4 activities front/back (making 8 pages)...8 pages for rolling two dice (2-digit), and 8 pages for rolling three dice (3-digit). 16 total pages. Hope you enjoy!
