In this highly-engaging Roman Emperors lesson, students will create a timeline where they focus on 7 of the best (and the worst) Roman Emperors. Students will read the attached article "Roman Emperors and Their Achievements (or lack thereof)." Upon reading the article, students will place the emperors on their timeline.
Be sure to instruct students to follow the timeline carefully so they put the correct emperors in the correct location! Students should place several relevant facts about each emperor in their correct box (3-5 should suffice). Your students will be shocked when they read some of the horrors of committed by a few of these guys!
This lesson is great as it challenges students to construct a timeline, a major common core component, and pull out relevant details regarding each emperor. Included are: Student Article, Student Timeline, Teacher Timeline.
