This card-match set includes paired match-up cards (Arabic and Roman numerals) for the numbers 1 to 1,000 (plus 2000, to accommodate current dates).
Presented in groups of seven per page, these numerals may be studied in small sections sequentially or in larger combinations. That is, students may easily be given just one page or many pages at a time to master, depending on the needs, interests, and abilities of the student, teacher, or class.
Once copied, cut apart (and, ideally, laminated), the cards provide an excellent resource for individual study or gifted and talented classroom unit work as well as small group and whole class play-based learning/review. Cooperative or competitive games with the cards helps students develop quick recognition of each Roman numeral.
Further, arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and subtraction) games with the Roman numeral cards not only strengthen these operational skills but also highlight the benefits of the base ten system.
