This is a creative and analytical activity that addresses higher order thinking. Students are asked to apply their knowledge and understanding of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s ideas, essays, and ideals. The activity takes the form of a letter, written as if they were Emerson, in reply to a "correspondence" imagined to have been received by Emerson.
