Here is the story of the Punic Wars, I love to teach the story of Hannibal and his War Elephants!! This lesson plan will explain how Rome becomes an Empire.
This is a lesson plan that you can use for 2-3 classes.
Included is a detailed lesson plan with essential questions, standards, Aim question, activities, directions for the lesson.
Map comparison worksheet as an anticipatory set to get kids thinking about the lesson.
Powerpoint presentation with 12 slides. Not a lot of notes, more guiding details and pictures to use as discussion before activity.
Reading activity (3 separate readings - 1 for each Punic War) that you can have students work on together cooperatively. Very easy to read with pictures. You can differentiate and have 3 different groups based on the three different punic wars.
Graphic Organizer they will use along with guided reading to see the importance of each of the punic wars. Also great to use as you debrief with the whole class or to use as a review when you are done with the lesson.
