Rome The Rise and Fall of an Empire is a stunning History Channel documentary series, which traces Rome from its beginnings as a struggling republic through centuries of conquest and its eventual demise. Profiles of events and people such as Julius Caesar, Constantine the Great, the Barbarian Invasion and the Invasion of Britain reveal the legacy of the empire's dramatic rise and fall.
This documentary is great visual for World History or cultural studies courses that are teaching Ancient Rome . The video notes will allow students to follow along and remain engaged as they take in valuable content. This can also be given as a homework assignment where students can view the film at home or on YouTube and turn in video notes the next day. This assignment also speaks to point of view and provides an alternative source for those studying Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
