Common Core, Smarter Balanced
This "Romeo and Juliet" test is a Common-Core aligned, Smarter-Balanced type of assessment. It contains an assessment, or test, for Act Three from Shakespeare’s "The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet."
The assessment, or test, is worth about the equal percentage of how long the act is in the play. In the play, Act Three is one of the longest at about 25 percent of the play.
Assessment Weight for Act Three
The assessment is worth 25 percent compared to the other four acts I have for sale in my store: Act Three is worth 70 points.
Questions Divided into Selected Response, Constructive Response, and Performance Task
The assessment is set up in a Smarter-Balanced style containing Selected Response questions. At the end of the assessment, there are Constructed Response questions.
The assessment is organized as follows:
Act 3 - 30 Selected Response questions, 4 Constructed Response questions
Questions: HOTS and Close Reading
In the assessment, the multiple-choice questions that are part of the Selected Response are mixed between in-text and beyond-text questions. Short-answer questions that are part of the Constructed Response are also mixed. A few questions are based on lower-order-thinking skills, but the majority of the questions require higher-order-thinking skills. Many of the questions require close-reading skills, as well.
One Assessment, One Class Period
The test is designed to be given after completing the act, and the test is designed to be given in one class period (50 to 55 minutes).
Use in Word or in PDF (Answer Keys & Rubrics Included)
The assessment comes in Word, which allows you to modify it if you desire, and in PDF. The assessment comes with a long answer key that is the complete assessment with the answers in bold, as well as a short answer key that gives the answer to each question. All possible answers for the constructed response questions are given in both types of answer keys, and they include rubrics for help scoring the written portions.
The test is 7 pages, and the answer keys are 7 pages. Therefore, there are 14 pages in Word and 14 pages in PDF, combining for 28 pages.
If you are looking for a well-written, challenging assessment, this product will work for you.
Individual Act's Tests and All Five Act's Tests are Sold Separately in My Store
I'm so confident that if you saw the Act One test, you would want the rest. Therefore, I discounted Act One's price for you to make it easier for you to check it out. If you like it, then you can come back to my store and get the remaining four acts.
Acts Two, Three, Four, and Five are all the same price.
But if you want to save money, I have bundled all of the tests for all five acts into one product. It is cheaper to buy the bundle pack of all five acts at once instead of buying them separately.
