This is a Reader's Theater written for 3 students. In the script, Romeo and Juliet are starting to perform their play when Romeo admits he can't understand a word being said. Shakespeare has to explain it to them. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need.
My scripts are in black and white with only the occasional color picture on front so they are easier and cheaper to photo copy. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place.
My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone. If you enjoy this script, look for other twisted fairy tales at my site. You can even save money by buying them in packs! I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. They weren't sure they'd like it at first because it sounded like a romance but by the end they were laughing and having fun. Let me know how things go!
