INFORMATION & DIRECTIONS
• In Act III, scene 2, Shakespeare takes Juliet – and the audience – on an emotional journey that can be confusing, but it can be rewarding if we take out time and watch our step as we join our young Juliet.
• Below are questions that will guide your closer examination of the scene. Before you begin answering, please flip to the last question (on the back); it has been answered for you as a model of the type of responses you will attempt to produce.
• For questions 1-4, please refer to the printed copy of Romeo and Juliet; before answering each question, please take a few moments to mark the text – making notes, underlining key words / phrases, and brainstorming what ideas you will include in your responses. Write your actual responses on notebook paper.
