After reading Romeo and Juliet, students are broken up into small cooperative learning groups to do a close reading on one act of the play. Each group is assigned a different act and must decide upon the main events and important quotations that aid the story's development. After filling out a planning worksheet (included), groups will develop computerized animations of their act. The clips can then be shown to the class in order to produce a student made animated film of the play.
Rubric is included. This would make a great sub plan and would take about 3 class periods to complete.
