This is a one-page guiding worksheet for students watching the Baz Luhrmann Romeo and Juliet film. An answer sheet is included. Please note--the formatting looks strange in the thumbnails, but the original file is ok!
I designed this worksheet to help students find and note differences between the film and the play, in preparation for a later class discussion and comparison essay.
Only THREE of the 18 questions explicitly ask for comparison--the others simply ask for short answers or description to show that students have understood the characters or events in the film. Therefore, you can use the worksheet before the play has been read--you might just ask students to hold on to the sheet for later reference/discussion.
This would be appropriate for middle school classes; I used this with strong ESL students in high school.
