Product Description
Sometimes it can be very difficult teaching low students how to write a successful paper. Have no fear, this has everything you need! In this assignment, students decide whether they believe Romeo and Juliet were in love with one another or simply infatuated, or whether Romeo was a hero or an emotional wreck.

First I give the students page 3. On this page, they will write down the quotations they choose to support their chosen topic, with act, scene, and line numbers. We discuss why good support is important and then I explain the worksheet to them.

Pages four and five are the quotations for love/infatuation. They are the same for both, they can just present it differently depending on what topic they chose.

Pages six has the quotations for hero and page seven has the quotes for emotional wreck.

Page eight is a sheet where they write their practice introduction. It has bullet points explaining what they need to have for each sentence and then a blank lined space beneath to write it.

Page nine explains how to write each body paragraph and cite the quotations for love/infatuation. Page ten is the same for hero/emotional wreck.

Page 11 is the rubric that is left blank for you to add your own point values. It has grades for the introduction, all body paragraphs combined, and “overall”, which includes grammar, spelling, etc. I did not require them to write a conclusion. Getting them to write much of anything is a success.
