This project gives students the freedom to choose how they would like to demonstrate their knowledge of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
Students are given many different options, each with varying point values, and are allowed to assemble their own project, depending on what they personally feel they want to do. In order to get a 100, students must do at least two of the many options they are given. This is great for all students, but especially for those who demand more creativity out of their assignments, such as GT and Pre-AP/AP students.
In my experience, students respond very well to this project because they are able to choose to express their knowledge in a way they feel comfortable--this allows them to be more creative, to choose things that they feel confident in, and to feel that they have more ownership in the eventual final product.
Depending on student-level, this project could last anywhere from one to two weeks.
