This "Romeo and Juliet" project listing gives your students the scaffolding some may need, the freedom others may need, the voice and choice that they all need (and want!), and a rubric that you need! This project listing allows for you to present the project in any way that you choose, but then gives the student very direct parameters for the rest of the work that they are to do. You will want to begin this project very shortly after beginning your "Romeo and Juliet" unit. I would suggest a maximum of two weeks for students to work on this. I would also only allow students to work on this outside of the classroom. Flipping your classroom to allow all of the work outside and all of the final product and discussion inside the classroom allow for more time to do what you need to do. The different choices of projects allows for cross-curricular connections to be made, especially during each student's individual research.
