This is a reading packet that accompanies reading Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." I originally designed the packet to be done in class as we read the play together, but can easily be used as homework as well. I combined a variety of surface level and summary questions with some more analytical questions to probe discussion and depth. In my class, this packet replaced a unit exam, but could serve as a wonderful study guide for a test as well. Also includes a list of relevant vocabulary--both Shakespearean and theater-based--to aid in student comprehension throughout reading and discussion. Some sections include a summary because my class did not read every single scene; but could easily be modified for a specific classroom.
