Encourage students to practice character analysis, symbolism, translation, and poetry skills through differentiated project stations after reading Act 3 of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. This lesson plan provides comprehensive lesson plans and assignments with rubrics for a week-long station activity for the high school classroom.
This project can be easily differentiated for a broad spectrum of ability levels. This project can also be condensed so that students may only complete 3-4 projects out of 8 or for students to work independently or with group members.
I have taught this lesson after Act 3, but I have also taught it at the end of the play as a review before a final test.
