Romeo and Juliet Activity - This Romeo and Juliet Activity is interactive, super fun and requires no prep!
*Students choose a scene from Romeo and Juliet. They divide the scene into 4-6 sections, summarize each section and then illustrate each section. Lastly, students create a final product to share with their classmates.
*Fosters a deeper understanding of the text!
*Use with any part of Romeo and Juliet. My favorite use is as a jigsaw activity in cooperative groups. For example, students read Act III in small groups. Then each group divides the act between the group members. Each group member creates a comic strip for his/her sections. Then the group members put the comic strips together into a final product depicting the entire act.
*Product contains clear requirements, instructions as a checklist with due date boxes and a spot for initials when completed, a template for a rough draft, and a scoring guide.
