PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This assignment allows students to think about the events of the story from the perspective of a single character. It provides great critical thinking as the students must tweet by the 140-character rule (limiting themselves to the most important information), and they must do this by really thinking about who that character is. How would Romeo react to the events of this act? How would Juliet? How would they express themselves? What were the important events from this act that they would want to discuss? What would their attitude be?

Kids will have a blast re-hashing the events of a complicated story and simplifying them, and you will have fun reading these creative, quick reads. This download includes an assignment description, many sample tweets, a grading tool, directions for checking character count, and a template for students to use to write their tweets.
