This is a great set of vocabulary worksheets for use in your regular or honors classes. Students complete multiple parts for each act:
Word Sort -- Students write words in boxes according to their familiarity level with them, before they read!
Context Fill-in-the-Blank -- Actual lines from the play are used with the vocabulary word removed. Students are asked to place words using context clues, part of speech, process of elimination. You may choose to let them use the text for this, but I like to have them attempt this without a dictionary. Students must also fill in the Act, scene, and line numbers (parentheses provided). Might be great with a partner.
Sentences -- Students must now use each vocabulary word in an original sentence, making sure to use it properly (part of speech, tense). A brief definition is provided with the part of speech.
These can be made double-sided, and there are exercises for Acts I, II, III, and IV & V combined.
The review is a partner or small group activity in which students create their own "challenge" worksheet (mimic the format), and have another group complete it without using a dictionary.
You could totally make this into a fun competition, too!
Answer keys included!
This is scaffolded for use in many levels. Enjoy!
