Description
In this assessment, after students read Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and watch the modernized remake film Gnomeo and Juliet, they will complete a two-part assessment.
Part One: Compare and Contrast
Students will complete a chart where they directly compare characters and events from the text to the movie. An example is provided.
Part Two: Power Paragraph
Students will complete a power paragraph answering the prompt: Did Gnomeo and Juliet accurately portray Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet?
There are clear directions as to how they will respond to this and complete the power paragraph.
I left the document as a word doc if you would like to change any of the point values.
