PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This one page worksheet is for use with a teacher-led states of matter experiment where students start with cups of vanilla ice cream and root beer. They should begin by determining if each treat is a solid, liquid, or gas before predicting what will happen when they pour the soda over the ice cream.

The activity can be done whole group or in small groups and works as either an exciting way to introduce the states of matter or a fun way to conclude a matter unit with students and celebrate their learning. The best part is you get to eat it afterwards!
