There is a call sheet for the teacher, to mark off the word parts called out by letter...Ex) B-water (in the B column they would mark aqua or hydro).
Each column has their own word parts. B has its own, I, N, G and O all have their own word parts, so you must call out the full Letter with the word part.
The included word parts with meanings list should be used to immerse the students into the world of roots, prefixes and suffixes.
I have my class enter them into a "dictionary journal" for personal use.
At first, I let the students use their journals to assist them in the Bingo games. Before you know it, they will have enough memorized to have an enjoyable learning experience during a full game of Bingo.
I used a version of this original product last school year with my ELL students (4th grade). Not only were they excited about learning these important word parts all year, but they improved on test scores tremendously.
Knowing these roots, prefixes and suffixes will help the students feel confident, and will begin learning new words rapidly.
