Guidelines and game rules in these materials, prepare your students to enjoy the journey on a new kind of expanded thinking.
The materials show how to support valid opposing views. So rather than support personal biases in a lesson topic, they learn to genuinely explore new information.
Through a game they enjoy, they learn how lessons can support valid ideas from two opposing views.
Students are guided to create authentic possibilities from solid facts on both sides of their lesson topic. Many examples are provided to help students see the value of including opposing views.
In addition, students are guided to discuss issues as if they were the best salesperson for plan A, and then show that they are also the best salesperson for an exact opposite plan B.
The materials include checklists for scoring their progress and common core standards addressed.
Hopefully these ready-to-roll brain-based materials
will benefit your learners and leaders as they do mine at middle, secondary, university levels and beyond.
