4 mini lessons (about 30 minutes each) on Rosa Parks. Lessons are titled 1)Who was Rosa Parks? 2)What is segregation? 3)What is a boycott? and 4)What can we do? Lesson plans include objectives, PA standards, materials, preparation, introduction, purpose, development, closure, accommodations, assessment, and reflection sections. Lessons do require the teacher to use trade books found at most libraries. Included are a pre/post assessment on Rosa Parks with answer key. There are picture clues to assist the students in selecting their answers. Also included is an original readers theater. There are 4 parts (Rosa Parks, James Blake, People on the Bus, and Police). There are picture cues to help the students know when it is their turn to read. It depicts Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat on the bus. All materials needed for the lessons are included such as the written response sheet and timeline of Rosa's life. There is an individual timeline for each student as well as a large class size timeline.
