Students complete simple research about Rosa Parks.
The purpose of this activity is to teach students how to find information about Rosa Parks from various sources and to practice reading informational texts with a purpose. There are 9 questions for students to find the answer and circle their source. Then, there is one extra for students to find their own interesting fact.
They may know some of the answers already, but encourage students to find the answer and cite the source. Provide students with books, encyclopedias, and websites. This way, students get out of the habit of just ‘Googling’ something.
This makes a great "Research Center!" My third graders loved them and begged to do more research!
