Product Description
With this And the Envelope Please lesson, students will analyze the images on two first day covers (envelopes with commemorative stamp, appropriate postmark and artwork depicting the topic) identifying the subject and drawing conclusions as to the connection between the two covers. Students will investigate two other primary sources, the arrest bulletin and letter from the Women’s Political Council, to determine Rosa Parks’ role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott. In conclusion, a writing assignment will allow students to be creative yet share their understanding of this 1955 Civil Rights event.
