Handout contains 10 questions for the vignette "Rosas de linóleo" from the book "La casa en Mango Street".
Then students also read " Rafaela que los martes tomas jugo de coco y papaya". They compare and contrast both vignettes and discuss more in depth the topic of oppression. Students use a Venn diagram to compare and contrast and work with a partner or a group of three.
This connects to global challenges and students research in the library societies and countries that oppress women. Great way to make connections to current events around the world.
