Rosie Revere Engineer is a delightful, inspirational tale about a girl who learns to overcome and even celebrate her failures. This is a great story to use in teaching your students the value of failure and perseverance! This philosophy will help students throughout their school years, career, and life in general.
The following companion includes multiple ELA based activities from retelling (story maps and BME), comparing, cause and effect, character evaluation, and vocabulary (puzzles and book). Additionally, I have included a STEM activity to accompany the story! There are 3 background and instructional pages, 3 posters, a recording page (recommended for younger students), journal (with 2 cover page options), and a reproducible page to be used to assemble the plane used in the STEM activity.
Students of all ages will truly enjoy diving into this instant classic as well as engaging in the engineering design process.
