Whether you use this as an activity at a workstation or give these out as a reward, these composer puzzles will help reinforce what you want your students to learn about Gioacchino Rossini. The puzzles contain the following: name of the composer, image (clip art) of the composer, birth and death dates, time period, and names of some of the musical selections they wrote. Since Mr. Rossini’s first name has been spelled both with one “c” and with two “c’s” in even encyclopedias (Britannica vs Britannica Kids are examples of this) I am including both versions here for you at no additional cost. This way you can choose the spelling you wish to use with your own students.
Also included in this resource are 6 piece, 9 piece, 12 piece and 16 piece puzzles in color and black and white. You could have your students color the black and white puzzles as they listen to a featured song by Rossini and/or print up the colored versions (then laminate and cut out) and use them as part of a workstation.
Songs listed on the puzzles:
♫ The Barber of Seville
♫ William Tell
Rossini is a great composer to learn about during any time of the year and his birthday is in February.... ❤ Other Rossini products coming....
