This is an extremely challenging activity for many students, but one that kept their interest throughout the entire lesson! First, students should be in groups of no more than 4. There is no answer key because students begin by creating their own pre-image. Each person has their own colored pencil (so you and they could tell whose work is which on each paper). They pass their papers around the group and each person does their assigned task on that specific paper. After the activity, each student would have rotated each figure about an assigned vertex 90 degrees, 180 degrees, and 270 degrees (the activity is designed to ensure each student practices each rotation once).
