Students use inquiry to explore the properties of rotations on a coordinate plane using their own snowflakes. Students are given specific directions on how to make their snowflake, line it up on graph paper, and follow the holes around the snowflake in order to discover the properties of rotation. There is a Check for Understanding for the teacher to use as a quick assessment. This is also a fun way for students to practice identifying coordinates on a coordinate plane.
