This product includes one foldable covering rotations in the coordinate plane, and one page of guided notes for rotational symmetry (half-sheet so that students can glue into notebooks).
The rotations foldable covers 90, 180, and 270 degree rotations. Although the front says "counterclockwise," I also have students write down the clockwise equivalents on the inside of the foldable. Each degree of rotation includes an example to go with it. Also inside of the foldable is a place for students to explore rotations using tracing paper. I find that this physical manipulation really helps them when learning transformations. If you do not have tracing or patty paper, wax paper or old transparency paper works well, too!
The rotational symmetry half-sheet of guided notes starts with what rotational symmetry is and how to find it. A quick tracing paper exploration is next, followed by 3 examples.
A key is included for easy-use! Also included are pictures of how I use the tracing paper and directions for use.
I had great success using this set of notes with my students, and hope that you find them to be useful, too!
Please don't forget to come back and let me know how you enjoyed using this foldable and note set with your students. I would love to get your feedback, and you earn TpT credit! If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you!
