This is an inquiry activity where students will discovery the rules for rotations (90, 180, 270 & 360) around the origin in the coordinate plane. In this document, you will find the inquiry worksheet and four different triangles graphed in the coordinate plane circles. I printed this sheet on 7 different colors, so the plates can be sorted quickly into groups of four by color. I cut the colored circles out and glued them onto the backs of clear 6.25” plastic plates with rubber cement so the grid can be seen from the front of the plate. This activity uses two plates for each student, one with the coordinate planes in circles and one marked with a single dash to make it easy for students to line it up with the grid.
