The algebraic representations for rotations can be hard for some students to remember. If and when students are unable to recall this information, manipulating the problem by rotating the coordinate grid clockwise or counterclockwise to a specific degree ( 90°, 180°, 270°, 360°) will help students to find the correct answer. The first part of this activity requires students to physically turn the graph in order to determine the new transformed figure. Students will use the new coordinate grid established by the turn to find the coordinates of the transformed figure. The second part of the activity challenges students to match the correct graph to the rotated verbal description. Please visit my store to check out other resources. I hope you enjoy!
