This is one of 5 math centers based on Common Core Place Value standards. In this product you will find information to help you teach students how to round to the nearest ten, hundred and thousand and find a center game to reinforce the lesson. This file includes everything you need for the center along with printouts to use for the students interactive math journals. Here is what the instructions page states.
This center is meant for to 2 players. Print and laminate all of the following pages.
Each player should have
• One set of cut out laminated rounding match cards
In this rounding game the students lay out all of the cards facedown like the game memory. Each match will have a card with a rounding question, which will match with the answer card. The first set of cards is color coded to help the students know when they have found the right card. There is a black and white set following the color set if you don’t wish to use the colors. They will record their answers on the answer sheet to make sure they understand the concept and are not just matching colors. Whoever finds the most matches wins.
This center is meant to reinforce the concept of rounding to the nearest ten, hundred and thousand. This center can be used with up to 4 students at a time. I have included a page of pocket sized information cards for the students to put in their interactive math journal.
This center is meant to be used in conjunction with the other 4 place value centers located on my TPT site.
